Geechee lodging on Sapelo Island in the Hogg Hummock Historic District at the Sampson Hogg plot is a fundraising mechanism for the construction and development of 1,500 acres of Ancestral Geechee Lands throughout the island. Geechee Workforce Development Plan
Geechee-Culinary Arts, Education, Facilities Management, and Hospitality Certification are the core areas of focus for HELP's Sapelo Island's Geechee Workforce Development Plan (GWDP). GWDP is a cultural and historical innovative approach to culturally and historically preserve the indigenous Geechee Livelihood of Sapelo Island. This endeavor is financed by private investors, silent investors, grants, and donations from the public.
