In 2006...
…HELP ORG INC staff participated in the Park Pride Community Park Design Clinic.
…HELP served as community liaison for Senior Connections Home Repair Program in the English Avenue and Vine City communities. Additionally, HELP participated at the Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta and the Buckhead Rotary Club’s Mobilizing Communities to Care for Seniors: A Symposium.
…HELP ORG INC facilitated four Community Forums during the year. Our gracious host was the Vine City Terrace Apartments Community Center (1st, 2nd, & 3rd) and John F. Kennedy Middle School Community Center (4th). Georgia State University's Sankofa Society provided youth activities during the forums.
…HELP facilitated the Kids Activity Corner at the Neighborhood Union Health Center Health Fair.
…HELP ORG INC assisted the Vine City Civic Association with conducting research for the nomination of Sunset Avenue in the Historic Vine City neighborhood as a Historic District.
…HELP provided a cultural enrichment curriculum and a soccer program for the TRYCOPE Summer Camp at Mount Gilead Baptist Church. HELP also served as volunteer coordinator and fiscal agent for TRYCOPE. HELP received support from The Fade Dr., Brundage Enterprise Management, DeLaine Valdez Ferguson, Kids-R-Fit, Publix Super Markets Charities, Reach Them 2 Teach Them Foundation, Sevananda Natural Foods Market, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, The Falcons Fitness Zone, and The Neighborhood Fund Project Grant, and Vincente Scott. Harry the Hawk from the Atlanta Hawks appeared at a soccer event.

…HELP ORG INC entered into an Affiliate Agreement with Clark Atlanta University’s School of Education and Project Focus to provide practicum and internship experiences for undergraduate and graduate candidates at Herndon Homes and Magnolia Park.
…HELP ORG INC served as sports events and volunteer coordinator Street Smart.
…HELP entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Magnolia Park Apartments to provide an on-site after-school program in conjunction with TRYCOPE. HELP ORG INC served as volunteer coordinator and fiscal agent for TRYCOPE. HELP implemented a cultural enrichment curriculum, and received support from the Agents of Change Agents of Hope, Atlennium, Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, Atlanta Spirit, BOPSOP, Bright from the Start, Ollie Street YMCA, Publix Super Markets Charities, The Neighborhood Fund Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and the Vine City Civic Association Youth Committee.
…HELP launched a youth soccer program and partnered with the Andrew and Walter Young YMCA, Harland Boys & Girls Club, Herndon Homes, Imhotep International Soccer Association, and Visions Unlimited. HELP’s coaches became certified through the Georgia Youth Soccer Association.
…HELP ORG INC served as fiscal agent for Agents of Change Agents of Hope during their capital campaign at the Georgia Dome utilizing Levy Restaurants' fundraising program.
…HELP ORG INC partnered with Kids-R-Fit and TRYCOPE to host Run Through the Vines at Washington Park.
…HELP began a Housing Development Training Pilot in which HELP staff worked alongside urban planners, private sector members, and experts in housing development to purchase and renovate 2 single family homes for affordable housing (1 of the homes was a historic restoration).
